Cruise Notes: Third day of Admirals Cruise weekend and today off out to the wreck of the USS Richard Montgomery. Departed from Rochester and ran to Chatham Marina to pick up Andy & Anita who were our guests for the day. On picking them up we motored back to Rochester for the start of the cruise in company with some 30+ boats. On heading out of the estuary we lowered our ensign and saluted the wreck site of HMS Bulwark, collected our flotilla pennant from the Mayor and hove to at the Montgomery wreck site for a short service over the VHF radio (the sea here was very confused & rough). Then headed into Stangate Creek where we dropped anchor and enjoyed lunch in the sunshine. Departed Stangate and headed directly back to Chatham Marina.

Saluting the wreck site of H.M.S Bulwark in the Medway Estuary.

Cruise Notes: Locked out of Chatham on a planned trip to Rochester so as to help Nick set up his Navionics software. Had Amie & Danny on-board as crew today, Danny's first trip out so soon after leaving Chatham he took the helm for a while. Stayed at Rochester, on the fuel berth, for lunch and setup. A really beautiful day and very hot so on departing Rochester decided to take a cruise out into the estuary. Called up Andy & Anita (in Chatham) and invited them to meet us on Chatham visitors berth, hove to as they boarded. Ran out to Long Reach before turning and heading back to Chatham against a strong ebbing tide.

Cruise Notes: Departed for planned weekend at RCC where we will be moored for 2 days in order to visit the annual Sweep Festival in Rochester. Before heading up river to RCC we took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed out into the estuary first. Motored to Long Reach where we turned and made for Rochester, giving the engines a good workout to rid the hull of any weed collected while in the marina. Arrived at RCC and took a temporary berth until instructed by the mooring master.

Still have the same starting issue on departing but managed to get both engines running. Wind strength on departure had increased considerable.

Cruise Notes: First cruise of 2018 - Departed from Chatham Marina and headed out into the estuary on a very dull day but with no wind and a smooth sea. Due to the neap tide there was little flow to the incoming tide and an excellent opportunity to work the engines up to speed. On reaching Mussel Bank we turned and headed back with the little tide there was, passing Chatham and headed up river to Rochester where we turned again and headed back tothe marina.
Locked in with no trouble and moored bow first in order to clean the port side, we had already clened the starboard side erlier in the week.
Excellent run out with all systems performing well. Looking forward to a good cruising year.

Cruise Notes: Took an evening cruise out with Dave, Tracy & Harley Ann. Locked out on a falling spring tide so were slightly restricted on our cruise time, wishing to return before full low tide. Ran upriver to Sun Pier to show our guests the historical dockyard from water side before turning and running out to Folly Point. Harley Ann took command of the helm for a time and did an excellent job of navigating the boat down Chatham Reach. Turned at Folly Point and headed back to Chatham on a beautiful evening. Entered the lock with 0.6 mtr to spare.
