Cruise Notes: First cruise out to the Medway Estuary on one very hot, still day. Joined by Andy & Anita we punched the incoming tide at a steady 6kts all the way out. Located a nice anchorage spot at Slaughter House at the bottom end of Stangate Creek. Once secure enjoyed a very nice lunch with a glass of bubbly. Having cleared away we up anchored and headed back to Chatham, this time with the tide. A pleasant trip out only marred by the actions of another vessel travelling at speed in the 6 kts speed limit area at Folly Point (mark No.3 on route map) who almost swamped our boat with his wash.
Entered Chatham lock at high tide.

Cruise Notes: Early lock out to enable us to run upriver to Port Medway Marina to visit our friends on Odd Daisy B. Beautiful run out on a bright sunny morning, set throttles to 1000 rpm and cruised at 7 knots all the way. Moored astern of Odd Daisy B and boarded for coffee and a chat, Odd Daisy B being large enough to still abide by the 2m rule.

Following a lovely get together we departed for an equally smooth run back to Chatham on the ebbing tide.
