Cruise Notes: Oh joy, our first shakedown run out to test everything is running well following an enforced lay up due to the world CoVid 19 virus pandemic.

Kevayling had not been started or run since November 2019 so today we planned an early lockout and a run out to Folly Point, back to Medway Bridge and then home. The run out was faultless on a flat calm sea in beautiful sunshine, the engines were put through a range of power and checked periodically. On reaching Hoo Flats we turned and headed back upriver with the intention of paying a visit to friends moored at Medway Port Marina. Unfortunately due to a very low tide we were forced to abort the last half mile and head back to Chatham.

Wonderful to be back on the water and to know all is well with our boat.
